Around the World in the Philippines

By  - 7 years ago

Travelling abroad is a hassle for some considering the time you have to take off from work, the visas you have to apply for, the scout for the cheapest tickets, the amount of money you have to set aside, among other annoyances. But because this beautiful country of ours has plenty to offer, we can go on our own version of a world tour minus all the headache-inducing problems. Travel to these places around the Philippines you could easily mistake for foreign destinations.

7. 10,000 Roses Café – South Korea

Aside from in its country, South Korea also set its Light Rose Garden in Hong Kong and Singapore. If you’ve been waiting for it to come here, good news! There is already one in Cebu. Enjoy frolicking in the field of roses day till night.

You can also have a coffee from their café while you appreciate the amazing view of Cebu.

6. Fortune Island – Athens, Greece

Travelling back in time doesn’t require flying all the way to Greece. Just a car ride to Batangas is enough. Experience a slice of history with the ruins of Fortune Island.

There are also more activities to try in the island: windsurfing, paddle boarding and cliff diving.

5. The Pyramid – Paris, France

Paris is considered one of the most expensive cities in the world so saving up, even for a short trip there, is no joke. Worry not because the Pyramid in Cebu looks almost like the Louvre.

Have a bit more of the French experience; the bistro also has an art gallery and offers a wide selection of wine.

Getting nearer to the weekend! Let's wine and dine by then! ?

4. Cintai Corito’s Garden Batangas – Bali, Indonesia

If you’ve been meaning to travel solo for an “Eat, Pray, Love” kind of vacay, look no further as Bali is within your reach. Cintai Corito’s Garden will make you feel relaxed with their amenities such as the spa, the entertainment room, and the garden where animals roam free.

3. Vayang Rolling Hills – New Zealand

If you think the grass is greener on the other side, like maybe in New Zealand, look again. Nestled in Basco, Batanes are the Vayang Rolling Hills. You’ll be astonished by the breathtaking view of the vast greenery complementing the clear blue skies and the West Philippine Sea.

What a beautiful world we live in. ?

Try to spot their wooden version of the tricycle.

2. Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar – Havana, Cuba

It’s hard not to be captivated by vibrant and colorful Havana, where every corner is picturesque. Why travel for more than a day, when you can take a 3 hour road trip to Bataan? Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar has the same charm as Cuba’s capital city with its vintage buildings looking like they came straight out of a Wes Anderson film. Ready your cameras, and shoot away!

The Maldives are known for their crystal blue waters and floating resorts. You can find both these things in the hidden paradise of Huma Island, part of the world-renowned Palawan.
