5 In-Flight Skincare Essentials

By  - 6 years ago

Unless you’re flying first class, the thought of being stuck in a cabin for over 10 hours probably makes you shudder. From rubbing elbows with strangers to having to endure the stale, dry air, it’s almost impossible to have a pleasant experience — especially for your skin.

Plus, the legal limit of liquids you can keep in your carry-on doesn’t really help. But fret not! We’ve curated a few in-flight essentials that will keep you feeling and looking fresh, instead of suffering thousands of miles above sea level.

Makeup remover

Nothing feels better in-flight than having cleansed, hydrated skin, especially in dry climates. Make sure to remove at least your base makeup once the plane has reached altitude, so your face can breathe.

Invest in easy makeup wipes that you can use on your seat. You wouldn’t want to cramp yourself in a communal airplane restroom anyway.

Sheet mask

From this point on, it’s all about battling the drying effect of recycled air by keeping your skin moisturized and plump. And what’s a better way of starting it off than with a relaxing face mask?

Slapping one of these on mid-flight might make you feel self-conscious, but we promise your seatmate probably has better things to do. Just apply it on your face, sit back, relax, and let your in-flight movie carry you away.

Oh, and make sure to rub the excess product on your neck, chest, and arms!

Lip balm

Chapped lips can be painful and is one of the hardest things to get rid of once it’s happened. Prevent any peeling and discomfort by putting on a lip balm you won’t have to reapply every few minutes.

The Lucas Pawpaw Ointment will last you forever if you use it on just your lips, but it can also be applied on other spots of the body if needed. It’s absolutely perfect if you’re flying somewhere with a colder climate. The hype is indeed real.

Sleeping mask

Your skin does majority of its healing while you’re asleep, so keeping it hydrated is essential to waking up with that iconic Asian glow. Before you take that much needed beauty rest, layer on a sleeping mask that will protect you for hours on end.

Under eye patches

Nothing gives us a more tired feeling than having puffy, warm under eyes. Avoid this by using under eye patches that have continuously cooling properties.

Plus, what else says peak relaxation more than sporting a luxe eye mask?
