Which Type of Manicure is The Best For You

By  - 6 years ago

Unsure which manicure you’re getting next? You might want to read up on the different types first!

Find out which one will fit you depending on your preferred style and purpose for getting a mani.

5. regular polish

A basic manicure session is usually 30 minutes to an hour with the polish lasting between 4-7 days. The quick application and removal benefits people who want to constantly change nail colors whether to match their looks for formal events and special occasions or just their current mood for the week.

4. gel polish

Gel polish takes about an hour to apply and will last for two to three weeks. Compared to regular polish, this type is less likely to chip off, so it’s ideal for those traveling and want their manicure to look good as new throughout the trip.

Happy hump day!! ?✨ Who else is IN LOVE with that feeling of having fresh new pretty nails?? ?? It’s such a great feeling but I’ve never been one to have my nails done professionally, mainly because it’s so pricey and I find it hard to find the time. I feel like I’ve been living under a rock though because I had absolutely NO IDEA that you could get at home gel polish kits from @opallacgelpolish that come with everything you need to do your own gel nails at home!! I was sceptical about how well this kit would work but I’ve had my first gel polish on for a week now and haven’t even got a single chip. I’ve even got family and friends lined up ready to come over and have theirs done too haha! You can find this kit at @pricelineau along with a tonne of pretty polish shades ? FYI I’m wearing the rise and grind shade here ? *gifted #opallac . . . . . . . #beautyaddict #canberra #sydneyblogger #femaleentrepreneur #makeupflatlay #kmartaus #gelpolish #bossbabes #onthetableproject #mywhitetable #tablesituation #theeverygirl #flashesofdelight #thehappynow #finditliveit #creativelife #nailsonfleek #calledtobecreative #whereiwork #flatlay #flatlays #slaytheflatlay #flatlayforever #nailaddict #livecolorfully #thatsdarling #priceline #makeupaddict #workspaceinspo

3. acrylic nails

Putting on acrylics is like having a new set of nails, so the process requires a much longer time. Application can reach up to 2 hours, and you can wear it for 2 to 3 weeks. If you want your nails long and shaped à la Kylie Jenner, then acrylic nails is your best bet!

2. dip powder

A quicker and beginner-friendly option to acrylic or gel nails is dip powder, which you can do from the comfort of your own home. Application only takes the same amount of time as a regular polish, but the nails could last up to a whole month! You can even customize the length and shape according to your liking.

1. press on nails

If you don’t have time to go to the salon or even paint your own nails at home, press on nails will be your saving grace. Applying these needs only 10 minutes, yet will stay on for two weeks. It comes in a variety of designs, so you don’t have to worry about finding one that matches your looks or mood.
