1950s

1960s

Colorblock dresses, gingham, knitted pullovers, cardigans, and prints inspired by the pop art movement (like stripes and polkadots) were the stars of the 60s. Towards the end of the decade, as the hippie movement drew nearer, earthy tones like mustard yellow, moss green, brown, and burnt orange became very popular.
