8 Drugstore Beauty Buys That Won’t Break The Bank

By  - 6 years ago

These days, when you think drugstore cosmetics, it doesn’t necessarily mean lower quality anymore. Lots of drugstore beauty brands have upped their game in the recent years, giving high end brands a run for their money. You just need to know where to look and what to buy.

Here are 8 drugstore cosmetics that won’t break the bank.

L’Oreal Infallible Foundation Pro-Matte

Oily babes, rejoice! This skin-like foundation was made just for you. It keeps you matte all night long, without it caking up.

Now, L’Oreal does have a pro-glow variation of this that works impeccable, but it isn’t retailed locally yet. Maybe give ‘em a shout out on their Facebook page to bring it here? Tell them The Girl on TV sent you. *wink*

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Your dark under eyes will thank you for this!

True to its name, the Age Rewind concealer has properties that tighten and brighten your skin over time. Though skin care always effectiveness is hard to gauge, we’re definitely still in love with how creamy and easy to blend this concealer is.

Rimmel Natural Bronzer

Here’s another holy grail we’re still loving to this day. The Rimmel Natural Bronzer is just hard to beat when it blends in so seamlessly into the skin and leaves gorgeous golden specks on your cheeks. Beachy glow all year, anyone?

Maybelline Mascara

Maybelline mascaras are everyone’s first drugstore mascara, and often times the only one. They offer a variety of wands that either volumize, lengthen, curl, or lift with a mascara formula that’s just too hard to move on from (especially at that price point)!

Instagram baddies swear by the Anastasia Brow Wiz, but this NYX dupe costs way less and works pretty much the same. Create wispy, hair-like strokes for a natural brow look.

Maybelline Inti-Matte Nudes Collection

Everyone deserves to find their #MLBB color, and Maybelline served up a collection that’s made for just that. Tons of people have said the formula is comparable to even MAC lipsticks. Shall we swatch and find out?

Biore Sunscreen

Reposting this product ? I have just noticed that they have changed the packaging. The formula and consistency didn't change and stayed the same to my liking. My ultimate holy grail sunscreen. ❤ . Hands down my favourite sunscreen ever. Drugstore product from Biore. Its affordable, works nicely on my oily combination skin. . . Made with SPF50, feels lightweight throughout the day. Upon application its watery and has a faint fruity scent which made sense after reading that it contains grapefruit extract. ? This makes a super bomb ass primer too !! Not to mention it feels smooth with this underneath with/without makeup. . This has a watery feeling when being applied at first and it sits on the skin nicely without the sticky after feeling. Don't get fooled by the creamy appearance as it isn't at all like that. It does NOT leave a whitecast. It does however is a lil bit oily if you were to layer with serum beforehand. What I do to diminish the oiliness js patting powder on top and I'm good to go. . Retails around Rm39 ish at Watsons Malaysia. Super worth it for a drugstore brand and I usually stock up during sale because this bottle can really last me a few months even with everyday use. . Rating: 10/10. . . #malaysianbeautyblogger #malaysianbeauty #beautyblogger #malaysianblogger #makeupjunkie #skincare #kbeautyblogger #msianbeautysquad #msianbeautygram #beautyblogger #skincareroutine #skincare #igreview #beautyreview #makeupmalaysia #igbeautyblogger #makeupjunkie #beauty #skincareaddict #igskincare #biore #japanskincare #sunscreen #jbeauty #kbeauty

If you’re a skincare junkie, you probably already know about how important sunscreen is for avoiding sunspots and wrinkles. You probably also know how sticky and thick it can be if you don’t know where to look.

The Biore UV Aqua Rich is just the opposite.  The watery texture of this sunscreen makes it easy to spread around your face for minimal tugging, plus it dries in no time at all.
