10 Films We Can’t Wait To See This 2019

By  - 6 years ago

There’s a fresh batch of new films lined up this 2019. In fact, there’s too many to keep up with so we’ve narrowed everything down to the most anticipated and most awaited movies to hit theatres this year.

Here are the 10 films we can’t wait to be released this 2019:

Glass

Release date: January 18

If you’ve seen Split, then you know what to expect. Glass will probably deliver 3 times more in terms of action and suspense as Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, and James McAvoy team up together to form a dream team of misfits.

If you haven’t seen its predecessors Split and Unbreakable, do yourself a favor and catch up. You won’t regret it.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Release date: February 22

We can’t get enough of Toothless’ journey and adventures. Based on the trailer, our favorite winged creature meets a mate. We fell in love with Toothless and the friendship between him and Hiccup in the first two films, but this time, it’s the dragon’s turn to fall in love.

Aside from finding a girlfriend, the duo embarks on a search to find a hidden world and save the town of Berk from a threat.

Captain Marvel

Release date: March 8

We are finally introduced to MCU’s most powerful character Captain Marvel, who puts the her in hero. Alison Brie will play Carol Danvers, the first MCU female superhero to get her own movie—can you believe?

Shazam!

Release date: April 5

DC has something up their sleeve this year too: a teen who received superpowers to turn into an adult superhero. From the trailer alone, you can tell it’s going to be entertaining AF with its tongue-in-cheek dialogue and snarky humor.

Pet Sematary

Release date: April 5

Stephen King’s latest film adaptations haven’t disappointed us so we have faith in this upcoming one about children, a mysterious graveyard, and dead pets. If you’re not unnerved by the eerie and creepy vibe of the trailer, then we don’t know what will make you watch it.

Avengers: Endgame

Release date: May 3

We’re sure you’ve seen the trailer by now and you know what to expect already. Tony Stark is lost in space and half of Earth is wiped out. Seems like there’s no more hope left for the world’s best superheroes but we all know that the final Avengers movie will not let their audience down.

Aladdin

Release date: May 24

Chills probably went down everybody’s spine when the trailer for the live action of Aladdin was revealed. There was even a video that went viral of a side-by-side comparison of the new one and the old animated movie. The latest trailer followed the original one to the last detail so we can only imagine how much of the original Aladdin will be kept in this upcoming film.

Artemis Fowl

Release date: August 9

The popular fantasy series finally scored a movie adaptation after years of being in talks. The series centers on the fairies, pixies, and a young genius but if you think this is just like any other cliche children’s story, you’re wrong. And if you haven’t read the book, you’re in for a good surprise.

It: Chapter 2

Release date: September 6

To say ‘It’ was a commercial success is an understatement. It became one of the most successful releases of 2017 despite fans pointing out that it only covered half of the book.

The sequel takes place 30 years later featuring the same characters as adults. Starring Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader? Star-studded!

Charlie’s Angels

Release date: November 1

Though the trailer’s not out yet, we have major deets about the remake already. Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska will star as the angels, along with Noah Centineo, Sam Caiflin, at Patrick Stewart.

It will be directed by Elizabeth Banks, who did Pitch Perfect 2. We can’t wait for for the iconic trio of characters to hit the silverscreen.
